Kulkarni Residence - Thane
In the heart of Thane’s bustling urban fabric, this 3 bhk apartment was reimagined as a calm, contemporary sanctuary — proving that thoughtful design can transform even the busiest surroundings into a place of retreat.
The space draws from fine art and organic modern influences, expressed through a rich interplay of materials and textures. A moss-toned sofa anchors the living area, layered with a nature inspired patterned bamboo silk rug, textured lime-plastered walls, Raku ceramic art, and brushed brass accents — creating warmth, depth, and quiet sophistication.
Every element was custom-crafted to reflect the homeowner’s personality and lifestyle who himself is an architect. The highlight: a fluid, organic lounge chair designed by me, serving as both a sculptural statement and a deeply comfortable experience.
These details invite you in, guiding your attention with intention and warmth. They do more than fill a room; they engage with you — reflecting, responding, and resonating with your moods and emotions. Even the family’s African parrot finds joy here, perched amid the calm, its vivid feathers adding a playful echo of the home’s color story — a living symbol of harmony between nature and design.
For me, design is not just about how a space looks — it’s about how it feels to live in it.
